Chassis connectors are available in both standard bulkhead and Neutrik D size form factors.

opticalCON Chassis Connectors
The opticalCON system is based on LC-Duplex connectors but eliminates its weakness and guarantees a safe, dust protected and rugged connection. The built-in dust shutter ensures minimal maintenance. The sealing gasket provides color coding and IP protection. Cable and chassis connectors are dust and water resistant per IP65 when mated.
Being compatible to conventional LC connectors, the opticalCON DUO offers the choice of using cost effective LC cables or the rugged opticalCON cable assembly for mobile applications. The opticalCON DUO is the ideal solution for equipment connections and system integration offering LC compatibility on chassis connector front and rear.
The chassis connectors act as a “feed-through” allowing simplified installations by connecting conventional LC connectors on the rear. It is built in the standard D size shell and features an automatic sealing cover for maximum dust and dirt protection and a Push-Pull locking mechanism for safe connection.

etherCON Chassis Connectors
The etherCON Series is a ruggedized and lockable RJ45 connector system,optimized foNeutirk etherCON Connectorsr pro audio, video and lighting network applications. etherCON provides solutions for data transfer in harsh and demanding applications. These connectors are especially applicable for Ethernet networking in audio, commercial, entertainment, live stage production, DMX lighting, industrial and outdoor internet access environments.

The etherCON series offers tailor-made products to suit all state-of-the art transmission classes like CAT6A, CAT6, CAT5e as well as class D according to TIA / EIA 568C.2 and ISO / EC 11801 respectively EN 50173-1 standard. The broadly based product range includes male cable carriers, assembled female receptacles, feedthrough jacks, cable couplers and shielded versions with or without illumination possibilities by LEDs. For pre-assembled RJ45 cables Neutrik offers a rugged diecast metal shell as a male cable carrier, which does not require the re-termination of the cable assembly.
Female chassis receptacles are based on the well-known Neutrik “A & B” series as well the “D” series of XLR receptacles with either secure latching system or push pull locking (CAT6) – features not found on other RJ45 receptacles. Terminations available do include horizontal and vertical PCB mount or IDC. Ingress protection of IP 54 is achieved on the CAT 5 version by assembling the waterproof sealing kit SE8FD while CAT 6 versions are IP 65 rated as standard.

They are now often found in recording studios and on stage-environments which are much more demanding than residential AV. Building upon Neutrik’s innovative etherCON RJ45 solution, Neutrik offers a top-quality, robust, and rugged multimedia series.
USB connections are ideal for audio networking as well as integrating computer-based equipment into AV systems. Neutrik USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 (A-B reversible) feedthrough chassis connectors feature industry-standard D-size housings for convenient systems integration.
Neutrik’s USB chassis connectors are fully compatible with off-the-shelf USB cables. For added ruggedness, Neutrik USB 2.0 cable assemblies are available. These cable assemblies feature rugged outer housings with lockable and IP 65 weather-resistant connections to the chassis connectors. The cable assemblies’ intuitive push-pull locking mechanism offers high handling comfort. In addition, the cable connector housings offer a shielded connection with high noise immunity and EMI protection. Neutrik’s USB 2.0 cable assemblies are available pre-terminated in a variety of lengths. Their rugged outer housings can be removed and reassembled as required for connections to standard USB ports.
For USB Type-C connections with USB 3.1 Gen 2 performance, Neutrik offers mediaCON. The mediaCON product line consists of PCB-mount chassis connectors plus locking, pre-terminated cable assemblies in 0.5 and 1.0 meter lengths. mediaCON is ideal for manufacturers of active devices looking to provide end users the option of a truly locking USB Type-C solution. mediaCON chassis connectors accept both standard, off-the-shelf non-locking USB Type-C cables and Neutrik’s locking mediaCON cable assemblies.
Neutrik’s feedthrough HDMI chassis connectors are ideal for transmitting all digital TV and PC video formats including HD and 4K video. They feature standard D-size housings for easy systems integration. As with Neutrik’s USB 2.0 solutions, pre-terminated HDMI cable assemblies in various lengths with removable rugged outer housings provide the option of lockable and IP 65 weather-resistant connections with high noise immunity and EMI protection.
Completing Neutrik’s multimedia line are feedthrough D-SUB chassis connectors. Both 9-pin and 15-pin connectors are available in the D-size format with a mix of genders offered at the front and rear sides. These connectors are ideal for integrating RS-232, RS-485, and similar signaling into equipment racks with D-size connections.
The powerCON TRUE1 TOP is a locking 20 A true mains connector for outdoor applications. It replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution in combination with a locking device is needed in order to guarantee a safe power connection.
