SGX Sensortech Li-ion Battery Thermal Runaway Detection
SGX Sensortech (an Amphenol Company) TRDU5 Battery Failure Detection Sensors feature a fast <1s response time, low power consumption and IP67 watertight housing. The TRDU5 detects H2, CO, ammonia (NH3), pressure, temperature, and humidity levels. These sensor solutions enable a battery management system (BMS) to monitor the safe operation of the battery and send an earlier signal during a thermal runaway warning, giving passengers time to safely exit the vehicle. These sensors are ideal for industrial and automotive applications.
