SD & Micro-SD Memory Card Connectors
SD (Secure Digital) and MicroSD memory card connectors are compact, removable storage interfaces widely used in electronic devices. Featuring a simple design, they comprise a plastic housing, metal contacts, and a locking mechanism. The connectors employ a push-push or push-pull design for card insertion and removal. Standard SD cards are larger, while MicroSD cards are a miniaturized version, suitable for smaller devices. Both connectors use a spring-loaded mechanism for secure card retention. Electrical contacts within the connectors facilitate data transfer between the card and host device. These connectors play a pivotal role in enhancing the expandable storage capability of various gadgets.
