We have detected a molding issue that impacted the following product at the end of 2021 and into 2022: 3M part number 45114-010030, 3M legacy ID XP-0000-0498-4, 3M SAP ID 7100243425 (“Product”).
Some Product was produced with a small number of defective plastic covers that was released to the field. If using the 3M recommended tooling and termination method, the extra tab renders the plastic cover unusable and will not allow for termination onto the connector body.
