Humidity Sensor Components
A humidity sensor typically consists of a sensing element, such as a capacitive polymer or a resistive thin-film, which responds to changes in ambient moisture. Integrated with this element is a signal conditioning circuit, often employing an analog-to-digital converter to translate the sensor's output into a digital format. Additionally, there's a microcontroller for processing and calibration. Some sensors may include a temperature sensor to enhance accuracy, compensating for temperature variations. The entire system is encapsulated in a protective housing, often with a permeable membrane allowing moisture ingress. This combined setup enables accurate and reliable measurement of humidity levels in various applications, such as climate control and industrial processes.
