DIMM & SIMM Memory Sockets

DIMM (Dual Inline Memory Module) and SIMM (Single Inline Memory Module) are types of memory modules used in computers to store and retrieve data. DIMM sockets are designed for modern memory modules and have separate electrical contacts on both sides of the module, allowing for increased data transfer rates. They are commonly used in desktops and servers. SIMM sockets, on the other hand, accommodate older memory modules with a single set of electrical contacts. SIMMs are often found in older computer systems. Both types of memory sockets facilitate the connection of memory modules to the motherboard, enabling efficient data access and storage.
