The backing film is the layer which resides between the rubber bump and the PSA adhesive. 3M has identified and tested a new backing film and confirms the new film has no impact on form, fit or function of the 3M Bumpon SJ53XX and SJ54XX series. Below are images of 3M Bumpons showing the cosmetic difference between the old and new backing films.
