MMM1013 - Discontinuance with replacement. Discontinuation of 3M™ Twin Axial Cable with UL 2556 VW-1 rating, effective Jan 30, 2022. A list of impacted cables is listed in the attached Appendix A. The reason for the discontinuation is that the resin used to achieve the VW-1 rating is no longer available. A last time buy for this product is being offered to customers of record for the product family on first come, first served basis. Since the material quantity of the existing resin is limited, 3M reserves the right to restrict the quantity of LTB orders. Last time buy orders must be placed prior to January 30, 2022, and will be shipped immediately upon completion from the factory. Requests for future dated demand will not be honored.
3M suggests customers consider alternative versions of certain cables which meet UL758 Horizontal Flame Test for Internal Wiring, as listed in Appendix B. It is the customers’ responsibility to determine whether the alternative versions are suitable for their intended applications. |
