Stewart Connector expands their field terminatable RJ45 plugs to include Category 8.1 transmission speeds. Stewart’s Cat8.1 field terminatable RJ45 plug is backward compatible with Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a. These Cat8.1 plugs are a cost-saving solution for upgrading data centers to accommodate the continuous changes in the industry, with the need to switch to a fiber optic solution. Stewart’s Cat8.1 products are ideal solutions for military and medical applications, along with high noise environments.
- Accepts wire gauge: 22-26 AWG
- Designed to comply with industry standard Category 8.1 channel lengths that support 26 Gbps and 40 Gbps Ethernet speeds
- Contacts are designed for use on both solid and stranded wire
- Easy to use color coded conductor pre-load wire manager
- 50 micro-inches of gold plating on contacts for increased life cycle
- Backwards compatible with existing RJ45 connectors utilized for Cat5e through Cat6a speeds
- No termination tooling required
