TE Connectivity Dual Wall Heating Shrink Tubing
TE Connectivity (TE) introduces DWFR, dual wall flame-retardant tubing, a new UL VW-1 rated heat shrink tubing. DWFR is a highly flame-retardant, high shrink ratio, dual wall tubing consisting of a polyolefin jacket and a thermoplastic inner adhesive wall.
DWFR is the first dual wall tubing product from TE meeting the stringent requirements of UL 224 VW-1 for flammability. DWFR provides excellent electrical insulation as well as a moisture-resistant seal. Additionally it's 3:1 and 4:1 shrink ratios provide design versatility to cover a variety of substrates with a limited number of tubing sizes. It is suitable for sealing and protection of connector-to-cable transitions and repairing damaged cable jackets. It can also be used to create and seal breakouts in harnesses.
