08/14/2023PCN-23-182861 - Specification Clarification. Add "Boiler Plate" statement clarifying voltage rating to 114 specifications. Terminal Voltage Rating: No rated voltage for the FASTON terminal itself, after FASTON terminal is crimped with wire, the assembly would have a rated voltage. For example, the lead assembly is rated at 600 volts per our UL 310 testing when crimped on UL 1015 wire. Even higher voltage ratings are acceptable under the correct conditions. Voltage rating is based upon dielectric strength between the terminal and other potential conductors at a different voltage. For uninsulated terminals, voltage rating is based upon the wire insulation rating and the application spacings. For insulated terminals, voltage rating is determined by housing dielectric strength, spacings, and wire insulation rating.
