Essentra Cable Clamps

Manage, organize, and protect your cables with Essentra

Essentra’s cable clamps are designed to ensure retention and support to cables and wires when fastened to the chosen applications. Cable clamps are often the most efficient and economical way of mounting cables on the panel boards of various types of enclosures, such as a data center server cabinet or an outdoor telecom equipment cabinet.  It’s use over other cable management options has distinct advantages, such as the ability to move, adjust, or add to a bundle.

Choosing the Right Cable Clamp

Essentra cable clamps are offered in a variety of materials, and are available in different sizes and mounting types. In order to select the proper cable clamp you will need to consider the mounting type, material,  size and the application in which it is being used. Material options include: Nylon, PVC, Plastic, Metal, Aluminum, Steel, and Rubber

Wiring harness cable clamps with a screw mount are often used to aid in automotive wiring protection when wires are bundled using a sleeve, heat shrink tubing, or wire wrap. They flex at the opening to allow easy installation or removal of wire bundles.

Harness Clamps, also know as Wire Harness Clamps or Wire Harness Clips, gather and secure cables on printed circuit boards and other electronic applications. Cables are quickly and easily inserted into the clamp and then locked in place.

The wiring harness clamp can be installed in advance to the chassis, with cables added at a later time. Once installed, cables can be removed from the wire harness clamp for wiring changes, re-routing and replacements.

The Plastic Wire Harness Clip range has different style options to choose from, include options with a ridged design or smooth options. The range also features options without a latch feature.

Adjustable cable clamps accommodate several diameters of cable or wire bundle with one size clamp or clip. One example is an adhesive backed cable holder that uses a ratcheting feature to allow several bundle sizes to be securely clamped. Additionally, the clamp can be reopened without damaging it. This allows the technician to trace wiring problems or reroute cable when necessary.

necessary.

Adhesive Mount Adjustable Cable Clamps have a ratcheting feature to hold and lock bundles securely. Clamps can be reopened for routing changes and are good in high-vibration applications; these clamps will not open unless tab is released. Adhesive base allows for easy installation.

The ability to reopen a cable clamp is one of the main and most valuable features. It can be accomplished in various ways. Hook & loop clamps are quite versatile and their adhesive mount allows for quick, simple installation of the cable clamp. Network cable enclosure and support systems cabinets often use these clamps, as do rack enclosure cabinets. A hook & loop clamp can be either top or side opening to match the enclosure design.

A hook and loop material that can mate together easily. These Clamps are ideal for cables that need to be held together securely, but also need to be released and resealed occasionally. With an adhesive base for quick and easy installation

Ribbon cable clamps are designed to route and secure flat ribbon cables in applications such as information technology and electronics, protecting sensitive wiring and cabling from damage. Much like ribbon cable clamps, often called flat cable clamps, are flat cable clips. These ribbon cable clips also secure ribbon cables where the use of fixing holes would be impractical.

One thing that’s difficult for cable ties to do effectively is secure ribbon cables without bending them. For inside a computer chassis, wall mount rack enclosure server cabinet applications, and similar enclosures, a flat cable clamp works best. The ribbon cable is slid into the clamp from the side and is held in place by the tension provided by the clamps design. The clamp is normally an adhesive backed cable holder.

Designed for routing flat ribbon cable, the serrated grip prevents slippage and securely grips cable. Low profile design for applications where space is limited.

Ideal for cables raised off the panel-board surface.

Cables slide into wire saddle and are kept in place without the need of a locking mechanism. The round saddle design allows for a wide range of cable diameters. Plug-in application allows for easy installation. Flat side can be beneficial when space is limited. Cupped base provides stability and protects the hole from contaminants. Several spacer options to isolate the cables away from board components.

A locking feature will hold the cable in place. Most locking clamps can also be re-opened and are reusable, ideal for applications requiring regular maintenance on the cables.

Allows for easy opening and secure clamping of various bundles.

Securely holds corrugated/convoluted tubing or other bundles. An internal rib spanning the diameter of the clamp provides a tight grip. Releasable latch for convenient maintenance.
