Products by Series
ITT Cannon’s circular metal connector series CA Threaded is one of the market standards for harsh environment applications in commercial as well as military applications. Derived from the former MIL-C-5015, now MIL-DTL-5015 military standard, the product portfolio expanded to meet the needs of industrial and heavy vehicle applications around the globe. As a result, the commercial offering exceeds the military portfolio by more than 30%. The shell components are fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy to provide a robust solution for all unsealed applications.
Application: Heavy & Off-Road Vehicles, Industrial, Military Ground Vehicles, Oil and Gas, Factory Automation and Robotics, Infrastructure
Features:
- Threaded coupling mechanism offering extraordinary vibration resistance
- An extensive range of backshells offering connections of all typical cable solutions with individual wires or jacket cables in shielded or unshielded versions
- Materials that allow to meet the stringent requirements of industrial and especially heavy vehicle markets Temperatures ranging from –55°C up to +200°C
- Cadmium, TinZinc (J Plating), ZincNickelBlueGen, ZincCobaltBlack, Nickel
Manufactured to MIL-C-5015 specifications, MS A & B series general duty circular connectors house plastic insulators and are designed to maintain machined solder cup contact orientation. Shell components are fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy, providing a robust solution for unsealed applications. Contacts are machined for strength and durability and plated with silver to maintain signal integrity. Shells are plated with an environmental green or RoHS-compliant black zinc nickel plating.
Features:
- Light weight Die cast aluminum hardware with integral backshell design
- Extensive offering of both Signal and Power layouts
- Available with both machined solder silver plated contacts for durability
High power connector series providing environmental protection with rear sealing grommets and pin interfacial seal. Fully intermateable with existing Mil-DTL 5015 and Mil-DTL 83723 series type connectors. Temperature range of -55 deg C to 200 deg C depending on connector class.
Application: Defense, Aerospace, Industrial, Military Ground Vehicles, IFE and Cabin Systems, Avionics and Control Systems, Space, UAVs, Oil and Gas
Features:
- Suitable for harsh environments (30 PSI sealing)
- Light weight Die cast aluminum hardware with integral backshell design
- Extensive offering of both Signal and Power layouts
- Available with both machined solder and crimp silver plated contacts for durability
The CA Threaded / MIL-DTL-5015 (E, R &F) connectors are qualified to the MIL-C-5015 standards and have resilient insulators and wire sealing grommets for extreme environmental conditions and high altitude sealing. The contacts are bonded to the insulator as well as the insulator to the shell for environmental sealing. The MS-R has a shorter, lighter weight endbell without the cable clamp. Both the MS-F and MS-R have o-rings to suppliment the interfacial seal. Shells are aluminum alloy and genrerally plated with OD Cadmium or our RoHS black zinc plating. The MS E, R, or F series is also available with crimp contacts using a modification code of F80 after the description.
