Ethernet Cables/Patch Cords

Cat 6 offers more stringent specs for cross talk and system noise than Cat5e. Cat6 cables can carry gigabit Ethernet in commercial buildings. It is also used for phone lines and in residences. It is available shielded or unshielded. It has a bandwidth of 250 MHz, and its data rate and distance are 1 Gbps at up to 100 meters and 10 Gbps at up to 37 meters.

L-com’s Cat6 Ethernet cables are standardized twisted pair cables for Ethernet, other network physical layers, and networking applications. Offered in high-speed, RJ45, LSZH, premium, economy, and molded flat Cat6 cable assemblies, they also come in multiple lengths.

L-Com’s Ethernet Cat6 cables are available in standard and custom lengths ranging from 1 to 100 feet. These cables have black, blue, green, red, yellow, white, gray or violet color jackets.

The Cat6 Ethernet cables’ design is incredibly flexible and can fit into tight spaces like doorways, corners, over or under carpets, etc. L-com’s premium high-speed Cat6 cables are made with high-performance 4-pair Ethernet cable and Stewart snag-less plugs. The unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cords have an LSHZ (low smoke zero halogens) jacket for shipboard and aircraft usage or any application where a low toxicity and non-corrosive jacket are needed to protect equipment and people. The flexible boot on these flat Cat6 cable assemblies may be bent up or down by 90 degrees, and the RJ45 connections are molded for strength. Cat6a is commonly used for gigabit Ethernet in data centers and commercial buildings. Its 500 MHz bandwidth is twice that of Cat6 and its data rate is 10 Gbps at up to 100 meters.

This shielded network patch cable series supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds at frequencies up to 500MHz. L-Com’s premium Cat6a cable assemblies are also offered in low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) and plenum-rated (CMP) cable jacket types. Each of our cat6a cables features an RJ45 connectors for flawless communication between multiple devices.

These robust Cat6a cable assemblies from L-com are perfect for high-speed computing often found in data centers. The cat6a cables are available in black, blue, grey, red, green, and white colors with standard lengths up to 100 ft. These cable assemblies feature aluminized polyester foil shielding, which reduces EMI/RFI and enhances overall performance. Some of these cable assemblies feature 26 AWG stranded conductors for flexibility, while the plenum Ethernet cables feature 23 AWG solid conductor construction. L-Com’s LSZH Cat6a cable assemblies are designed to withstand a robust wide temperature range of -20° to +75°C.

Cat7 has the same data rate and distance specs of Cat6a but offers 100 MHz more bandwidth. It is used for 10 Gbps core infrastructure and is commonly found in data centers.

 These cables have an overall braided shield around individually shielded twisted pairs (S/FTP), making them perfect for noisy conditions. Because Cat7 Ethernet cables have more shielding, designed to boost their speed up to 1000 MHz, they tend to be slightly thicker than other cords. In addition to low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) and halogen-free industrial gigabit Ethernet cable types, we also offer premium Cat7 cable assemblies.

The Cat7 Ethernet cables from L-com are optimal for high-speed computing often found in data centers. The LSZH cable is utilized in these assemblies and complies with tight IEC requirements.  Ethernet cable selections feature 26AWG stranded conductors for flexibility and suit shipboard, aviation, and other applications where PVC’s combustive toxicity is limited. These Cat7 cable assemblies have standard lengths of up to 100 meters, and IEC-rated LSZH jackets are available in the color black. The 10gig Category 7 rated, oil, UV, and halogen-free TPU cable is featured in these Ethernet cable assemblies and have excellent flex qualities. The cables are also well suited for industrial or outdoor environments.

Applications include industrial or outdoor environments like rugged factory, voice/data networking, telecommunications, and factory automation applications.  L-com Cat7 cords satisfy international standards, including IEEE 802.3an and 10GBASE-T. They feature a die-cast metal RJ45 easily converted to a horizontal or vertical GigE RJ45 for machine vision applications using optional supplied components. These Unified GigE brackets are simple to set up and come with spacers for 2mm and 4mm, allowing the plug to work with either of the widely used machine vision standards. Some offer a 1.39-inch static bend radius and a +60°C temperature range.
