MIL-DTL-28840 harsh environment connectors are designed for rugged applications, offering various mounting options such as wall mount, in-line, box mount, and jam nut receptacles, along with cable connecting plugs. Available in different shell sizes and insert arrangements, these connectors feature M39029 size 20 crimp removable contacts and come with straight, 45°, and 90° backshells. Constructed from wrought aluminum, corrosion-resistant, or stainless steel materials, they offer flexibility in plating options including olive drab cadmium, black cadmium, non-reflective nickel fluorocarbon polymer, black zinc nickel, zinc nickel, and pure electrodeposited aluminum. With a high operating temperature range from -55°C to 200°C, they are suitable for demanding environments such as shipboard applications.
