TE Connectivity Product Extensions for zSFP+ and SFP+
TE's zQSFP+ (z-Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) connector and cage assembly has been designed for applications in the telecommunications, data center and networking markets that require a high-speed, high-density connector. TE now offers a new 2x12 stacked configuration that fills a gap in the SFP+ (10G) product line portfolio. Developed to fill a gap in the product portfolio, the 1x5 cage was designed to be used with both the SFP+ and zSFP+ product families.
- Increase data rates with 2.5 times more throughput than existing solutions at 28 Gbps
- Support 100 Gbps Ethernet and 100 Gbps InfiniBand (IB) Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) requirements, and 128G Fibre Channel and 25G/50G Consortium
- Maintain compatibility with an industry standard interface
- Allow for simple upgrade paths from 10 Gbps with backwards compatibility to QSFP/ QSFP+ cables and transceivers
- Help improve EMI and thermal performance with enhanced cage design
- Enable design flexibility with behind and thru bezel cages providing various lightpipe and heat sink options
