Metal Solar Placards offer maximum durability for labeling photovoltaic equipment and components. Originally developed for military and naval applications, a special printing process seals black metallic particles under a clear anodized layer for long-lasting results, tested to last up to 25 years−even in direct sunlight. Metal Solar Placards are designed to meet or exceed the most recent National Electrical Code (NEC), International Fire Code (IFC) as well as requirements of local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), who may prefer a placard-style marking over a label.
- Placards are printed using a photographic process that seals black metallic particles under a transparent anodized layer, tested to last up to 25 years
- UV durable dyes applied over the anodized layer, provide long lasting color stain suitable for use in outdoor applications
- Aggressive adhesive ensures strong bond, even on powder-coated surfaces
- Meets or exceeds NEC & IFC codes for printed text, character height, color and outdoor UV stability
- Optional Paint Shields provide additional protection from painting and graffiti
