Circular Plastic Connectors (CPC)
Circular plastic connectors (CPC) are lightweight, all-plastic and metal-shell connectors. They have quick connect/disconnect capability with thread assist, positive dent coupling.
Circular Plastic Connectors are an ideal solution for virtually any application where both power and signal are required. CPCs are versatile, rugged, and circular-shaped signal and power connectors. They are available in a wide variety of sizes with many different types of signal, low power, and high power contacts in a multitude of different configurations. This versatility in design allows CPCs to be used in a wide variety of industries ranging from industrial to medical to data communications, to name a few.
The circular configuration provides designers with an efficient use of real estate and the mounting options include panel mount, free-hanging and wire-to-board. Receptacle and plug housings accept Type III+ or Size 20 signal contacts, Type XII power contacts or AMP POWERBAND (size 8) contacts.
The housings come in six series designed to handle standard and high density signal, power with current up to 50A per contact and combinations of signal and power in the same housing. The housing is made of a heat resistant, self-extinguishing thermoplastic which makes it extremely rugged, allowing them to withstand abuse as well as providing built-in pin and socket protection. Sealing to IP67 is also offered in several configurations. The CPC line includes accessories to complete the cable or panel assembly process such as cable clamps and boots, keying plugs, and sealing caps.
CPC is UL Recognized (File No. E28476) and CSA Certified (File No. LR 7189).

Accessories for Circular Plastic Connectors
Accessories come in all shapes and sizes, and it’s important to have those additional components that ease installation, provide extra stability, and enable a cleaner connection for your designs. TE Connectivity (TE) offers a wide range of accessories for Circular Plastic Connectors (CPC) Series 1-5 such as cable clamps, flexible cable boots, dust caps and more.
CPC accessories include sealing and protective caps to protect unmated panel mounted connectors. Jacketed cable seals provide an environmentally sealed connection for jacketed cable. Cable entry seals and heat shrink boots provide environmental sealing and protection where the wires enter the rear of the connector shell. They are used with a jacketed cable and threaded onto the rear of the connector and then applied with a heat-shrink gun. Rubber boots that slide over the jacketed cable against the back of the connector provide “splash-proof” protection. Cable clamps provide strain relief and are used with discrete wire and jacketed cable. Panel mount flanges allow for the plug half to be mounted to a panel when required by the application. Keying plugs are used to prevent mismating when all of the available positions are not being used. Sealing and protective caps, cable entry seals or heat shrink boots, and keying plugs are available for CMC connector
