Molex CP-6.5 Wire-to-Board and Wire-to-Wire Connector System
Consumer and industrial product developers need fool-proof interconnect systems that provide quick, easy identification of mated pairs in their wire-to-board and wire-to-wire applications.
Molex’s 6.50mm W-to-B and W-to-W receptacles and PCB headers have color-coded housings to differentiate mating possibilities. Connectors with mismatched colors do not mate. Unique keying features within each header and receptacle housing prevent entry of receptacle into header when mis-mated.
- Glow wire capable meets global safety and environmental requirements
- Raised housing block on the adjacent sides prevents snagging of wires under the latch during harness manufacturing and storage
- Polarization keys on housing ribs prevent mis-mating, which can cause electrical shorting
- Positive lock delivers an audible mating click, latch protection, and secure terminal and mating retention
- Pegs on housing provide robust PCB retention during soldering
- Kinked solder tails offer added header-to PCB retention during solder reflow
