01/26/2024 | PCN-24-198485 -PCN Clarifications. Unfortunately, some previous PCN s recently issued (PCN-23-183956, PCN-23-186195, PCN-23-188177, PCN-23-189230) have caused some confusion for our customers. This PCN has been issued with the intention of providing greater clarity regarding these PCN s. Due to extended lead times for products that require ongoing maintenance with Navair, (the governing body for Mil Spec), TE has decided to introduce Non Mil spec equivalent part numbers. Going forward, the Non Mil Spec parts can be used to serve the customers who do not require Mil Spec when the Mil Spec products are on hold due to ongoing product maintenance. Most of the current Mil Spec products are still comply with Mil Spec, they can continue to be sold and used as normal when Mil spec is required or not required. Attached list of Performance Material heat shrink tubing products (Please check attachments) that have released Mil Spec approval. All of these product families have equivalent Non Mil Spec part numbers proactively created for future needs when the Mil Spec products are on hold due to ongoing product maintenance. The new Mil Spec release for the above product families (Check attachments) will be updated and communicated as soon as we receive Navair approval. | Download |
08/17/2023 | PCN-23-183956 - Spec Change. Please be advised all TAT-125 and SCL Part Numbers (PN) with Mil Spec designation are on hold due to re qualification requirements. Requalification from NAVAIR is indefinite and can be prolonged. in order to provide our valued customers with direct technical replacements that can be produced and shipped immediately, we have created NON-MIL Spec parts to directly replace existing MIL Spec parts. For customers and end-users that do not formally require the Mil Spec designation this will be the fastest option to receive product. These new PNs are exact technical copies of existing PNs, the only difference is they do not have the MIL Spec designation, and as such, there will be NO MIL Spec designation on the packaging of these new PNs. Call To Action: 1. Please review attached Excel file for a FROM-TO replacement guide. This file lists one-for-one replacements, NON-MIL Spec PN replacements for Mil Spec PNs on hold (unable to ship). 2. If a NON-Mil Spec replacement is acceptable | Download |
02/03/2022 | PCN-22-128401 - Packaging Change. This PCN is to inform customers of changes to the packaging of the boxes used for the Heat Shrink Tubing products supplied in the Stick format (-STK, 1.2metre/4ft lengths). The new packaging is to improve the robustness of the packaging during transportation and storage. It moves away form the square cross section boxes to a more rectangular cross section. This gives greater stability when boxes are stacked and improves the strength of the boxes. | Download |
04/08/2020 | P-20-018882 - Product improvement. We are moving to a more robust design that will give better protection to the tubing products during transportation.
