AMP | TE Connectivity
Heilind is an authorized distributor for TE Connectivity’s AMP products. Founded in 1941 as Aircraft Marine Products (AMP), the company was the first to develop the solderless crimp electrical connections for quick and removable wire connection used in aircraft and marine. 75 years later, TE’s AMP products are recognized globally for the manufacture of rugged electronic components that deliver reliable connectivity in the harshest environments.
TE Connectivity’s AMP Products Include:
- Connectors
- Terminals & Splices
- Application Tooling
- Relays
- Switches
- Fiber Optics
- Wire & Cable
Connectivity Solutions for your HVAC System
It’s not easy being an HVAC system… whether installed in a home or a commercial building. HVAC systems are exposed to harsh environments ranging from extreme heat to frigid temperatures — both inside and outside the system.
The components in your design must withstand dust, debris, thermal shock, condensation, humidity, and corrosion. Choosing weak components can reduce energy-efficiency and degrade the system’s performance. Learn More
TE Connectivity offers advanced automation solutions to optimize warehouse efficiency, focusing on reducing downtime and streamlining operations. Their sensors, connectors, and components are designed for reliable performance in modern warehouses, seamlessly integrating with robotic systems like AGVs and pick-and-place robots. These solutions improve inventory management, order fulfillment, and operational accuracy while enabling faster decision-making and reducing human error. Built for durability, TE Connectivity’s products help lower maintenance costs and enhance productivity, allowing businesses to stay competitive in fast-paced industries. Learn More
Featured Product lines
TE’s Dynamic Series connector solutions range from signal level circuitry to power circuit connectivity – all in a ruggedized, industrialized package. Our engineers have designed this product range for use in control system applications to suit high density, signal, and power applications. These wire-to-board, wire-to-panel, and wire-to-wire connectors have diverse housings that can meet most applications. And while standard crimp and spring clamp variations of parts are available, standardized contacts limit the amount of application tooling required.
- Dynamic 8000 Series – a new high-current series of pluggable connectors that can carry currents as high as 100A per pin for WTW, and 90A for WTB making them suitable for power supply systems for industries like battery test equipment (BTE), battery management system (BMS), factory automation, robotics, etc.
- Dynamic Mini Series – Mini Dynamic Series will be smaller in size but offers the same performance as existing bigger alternatives. The protective latching concept helps to avoid accidental unlatching with a transitional sinking surface. This is one of the features that supports the low profile of this product.
- D-2970 Dynamic Series PCB Connector – The new 5mm pitch PCB connector operates at up to 20 amps and 400 volts at a typical ambient application temperature of 55°C without further derating. It incorporates numerous features to meet strict safety requirements. These include an audible and tactile locking latch to ensure safe mating, a robust housing, contacts that support shock- and vibration-exposed applications, and an IP20 “finger safe” housing that prevents unintended operator contact with live components. The D-2970 also meets the IEC EN 61800-5 standard for adjustable speed electrical power drive systems.
MTA Connector System – MTA 100 & MTA 156
TE Connectivity MTA 100 | MTA 156 ConnectorDesigning for household appliances, industrial machinery and controls, lighting, medical products or automotive applications? Does your design require low power or signal connectors?
TE Connectivity’s MTA connector system is a wire-to-board and wire-to-wire system based on insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology. MTA 100 connectors have contacts in a single row on .100 [2.54] centers while still allowing for up to 28 positions, whereas MTA 156 connector contacts are in a single row on .156 [3.96] centers. The design features wire feed-thru capability for daisy-chain applications. Insulation displacement contacts (IDC) are used to terminate a wide range of conductor sizes. Ribbon cable can also be terminated when the appropriate receptacle assembly and strain relief cover are used. Header assemblies for board mount applications include right-angle and vertical mount products available in through-hole and surface mount configurations.
A mass termination of wires supports low applied cost, as it drastically reduces the labor content of virtually any cable or harness assembly required. Housings feature styles that include both closed end and feed-thru connectors with locking ramps, both with and without polarizing tabs. For increased quality and ease of handling, MTA connectors offer one-step assembly, no wire stripping, no contact damage, reduced wiring errors, simpler tooling, and simple maintenance and repair. The connectors offer numerous options including colored housings and various types of plated contacts to offer solutions for a multitude of diverse applications.
AMPMODU 2mm Breakaway, Receptacles, and Shrouded Headers
TE Connectivity (TE) expands its range of AMPMODU interconnection solutions with the introduction of 2mm centerline board connectors. These new connectors occupy 38 percent less space than traditional 2.54mm [0.1″] centerline products, while reliably and economically meeting the packaging and interconnection requirements of today’s miniature sophisticated electronics.TE Connectivity manufactures an extensive range of products from hand tools up to fully automatic machines for wire and PCB applications.Ensuring a quality connection is essential to delivering high performance and reliability in extreme environments. From crimping a terminal onto a wire or pressing a connector onto a board, our equipment and services are designed to maximize production.
Circular plastic connectors (CPC) are lightweight, all-plastic and metal-shell connectors. They have quick connect/disconnect capability with thread assist, positive dent coupling.
TE Connectivity’s Circular Plastic Connectors (CPC) offer a rugged, reliable connector system suitable for a wide range of applications. The circular configuration provides designers with an efficient use of real estate and the mounting options include panel mount, free-hanging and wire-to-board. Receptacle and plug housings accept Type III+ or Size 20 signal contacts, Type XII power contacts or AMP POWERBAND (size 8) contacts.
