Molex MultiCat Power Connector System with Precision-Machined Contacts

Molex's high-powered, compact MultiCat™ Power Connector System with Precision-Machined Contacts can be mated quickly, ensure superior durability and proper connection via connector position assurance (CPA) making it effective in multiple industry categories. This lightweight and compact wire-to-wire (w-to-w), wire-to-board (w-to-b) configuration can accommodate up to 8 and 18 AWG wire to offer design flexibility in applications with space and weight constraints. Three-circuit circular components provide a compact connector that fits in an area as small as 15.3mm diameter tube.

The MultiCat Power Connector System has a two-piece hermaphroditic backshell to secure cable and provide strain relief. The UL 1977 finger-test-certified receptacle meets safety standards for many consumer applications. The connector system has 2 keying options and 2 housing color options to eliminate assembly errors and remove the need for separate polarizing tabs. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C, this product is ideal for harsh-temperature environments.

The MultiCat Power Connector locking mechanism is not metalized, unlike other power connectors currently on the market, making it the more economical choice. Also, its positive lock and CPA actuation makes assembly easier, reducing costly errors and assembly time.
